San Diego 14, Chicago White Sox 9

TUCSON, March 4 (UPI) -- Sean Burroughs had three hits and two RBI Monday as the San Diego Padres outslugged the Chicago White Sox, 14-9, in a Cactus League game.

Burroughs went 3-for-4 and scored three runs.


Darren Blakely went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Kory DeHaan and Adan Amezcua each knocked in two runs for the Padres, who had 20 hits.

Ryan Baerlocher got the win, despite allowing one run and three hits in two innings.

San Diego starter Bobby Jones also went two innings and gave up two runs and five hits.

Joe Crede and Mark Johnson each had two RBI for the White Sox.

Ryan Kohlmeier, a disappointment with Baltimore last season, took the loss. The righthander was roughed up for three runs and six hits in 2 2/3 innings.
