ORLANDO, Fla., March 2 (UPI) -- Rob Williams made a free throw with six seconds left Saturday to give Florida Atlantic a 76-75 victory over Georgia State and its first trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The Owls captured the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament crown with the win, which cost veteran Georgia State coach Lefty Driesell his second straight NCAA berth.

Thomas Terrell, the player of the year in the Atlantic Sun, scored for Georgia State (20-10) to tie the game at 75-75 with 38 seconds left. The Owls held for one shot before Williams was fouled on an inside attempt.

Williams could make only one of two, after which Driesell called a timeout to set up one last play. Lamont McIntosh took the inbounds pass and misfired on an off-balance three-point attempt as time expired on the rebound.

Raheim Brown, an Orlando native, scored 19 points to lead Florida Atlantic. The Owls will enter the NCAA Tournament as winners of five straight.

Terrell scored 22 points to lead the Panthers, who were defending conference champions. The league was formerly known as the Trans America Athletic Conference.

Florida Atlantic was seeded third in the tournament behind Georgia State and Troy State, which was upset in the quarterfinals by Jacksonville St.
