Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Adam Deadmarsh scored twice just over seven
minutes apart to highlight a three-goal second period as the Los Angeles
Kings continued their dominance of the Columbus Blue Jackets, 5-1, Tuesday night.
Jason Allison also had a big night with a goal and three assists for the
Kings, who were without Coach Andy Murray. Murray is in Minnesota
recovering from an auto accident on February 15 and assistant Dave Tippet
ran the team in his absence.
Brad Chartrand and Ziggy Palffy also tallied for the Kings, who improved
to 6-1 all time against the Blue Jackets. Los Angeles is 3-0 against
Columbus this season, outscoring the Blue Jackets, 15-4.
Robert Kron had the lone goal for Columbus, which is 1-6-1-1 in last nine
games.
