Tampa Bay 2, Chicago 2 (OT)

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Martin St. Louis had his second two-goal game of the season and Nikolai Khabibulin made 34 saves Friday night as the Tampa Bay Lightning rallied for a 2-2 tie with the Chicago Blackhawks.

St. Louis, who leads the team with 15 goals, converted passes from center Brad Richards on both goals. His first goal came at 11:48 of the first period, nearly three minutes after Tony Amonte had staked Chicago to a 1-0 lead.

The Blackhawks regained the lead on Steve Sullivan's goal six minutes into the second period. Sullivan took a pass from Eric Daze and beat Khabibulin to the glove side with a wrist shot.

Just over two minutes later, Richards fed St. Louis, who was in front of Chicago goaltender Jocelyn Thibault. Alone with Thibault, St. Louis was able to poke the puck through the goaltie's pads for his first multi-goal game since Dec. 17.

Thibault made 30 saves, but had his two-game winning streak snapped. Despite the tie, Chicago is 12-3-1 in its last 16 games.
