Toronto 85, Chicago 73

CHICAGO, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Vince Carter had 19 points and Antonio Davis added 17 Wednesday night as the Toronto Raptors beat the Chicago Bulls for the 12th straight time, 85-73.

In the last meeting between the teams, a 96-90 Raptors victory at the Air Canada Centre on Dec. 20, the game was overshadowed by a flagrant foul delivered by Charles Oakley to Carter. The two were teammates last season.

Carter scored 13 of his 33 points after the foul. In this one, there was no rough stuff and the Raptors controlled the second half while shooting 48 percent overall.

Toronto took control with an 11-4 run that turned a 29-26 lead into a 40-30 advantage with just over a minute before halftime. Carter's running jumper capped the surge and Toronto was never threatened thereafter.

Ron Artest, who was matched up against Carter, paced the Bulls with 21 points. But Chicago shot just under 36 percent and dropped its fifth straight game.
