Maryland 92, Norfolk St. 69

COLLEGE PARK, Md., Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Juan Dixon scored 17 points Thursday night as the sixth-ranked Maryland Terrapins extended the nation's longest non-conference home winning streak to 84 games with a 92-69 rout of Norfolk State.

Maryland (11-2) has not been beaten by a non-conference opponent here since a loss to Coppin State on Dec. 12, 1989 during coach Gary Williams' first season. That will be Williams' last defeat at Cole Field House against a non-conference foe since the Terrapins are moving to the Comcast Center next season.
