VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Simon Gagne's goal with three seconds remaining Monday night gave the Philadelphia Flyers their 12th consecutive road victory over the Vancouver Canucks, 2-1.

Goaltender Dan Cloutier stopped defenseman Dan McGillis' slap from the blue line and the rebound went behind the net. Jeremy Roenick backhanded it out to Gagne, who slipped a backhander past Cloutier for his 17th goal.

Matt Cooke scored for the Canucks with 3:58 left, deflecting Brendan Morrison's slap shot from the outside the right circle.

John LeClair got his second goal in as many games in the second period and Roman Cechmanek made 21 saves for Philadelphia, which is 8


4 in Vancouver since Jan. 17, 1989.

The Flyers have won six of their last seven overall and defeated the Canucks on New Year's Eve for the sixth time.

Cloutier turned aside 18 shots for the Canucks, who were none for three on the power play, extending their drought to 27 chances.
