OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Vin Baker scored six of his 18 points in overtime Friday night as the Seattle SuperSonics held off the Golden State Warriors, 111-108, for their third straight win.
Baker hit a basket and was fouled with 45 seconds left in the extra session. But he left with an apparent hand injury and Art Long completed the three-point play to put Seattle ahead, 107-104.
After a basket by the Warriors' Bob Sura, Rashard Lewis' follow shot restored the SuperSonics' three-point lead with 13 seconds left.
Lewis finished with 24 points and eight rebounds and Payton had 20 points and 12 assists as Seattle posted its 10th consecutive victory over Golden State. The Sonics have not lost to the Warriors since March 19, 1999.
Rookie Jason Richardson scored 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds for Golden State, which forced overtime by outscoring Seattle, 26-9, in the fourth quarter.
