Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Patrick Jackson scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures Saturday as No. 23 Ball State recorded a 68-54 victory over Indiana State.
Ball State (7-3) avoided its first losing streak of the season and defeated Indiana State for the fourth straight time.
Jackson was six of 11 from the field and five of six from the free-throw line. The Cardinals shot 47 percent from the floor and hit 16 of 21 foul shots.
Chris Williams scored 15 points and Theron Smith added 14 for Ball State.
Kelyn Block scored 17 points for Indiana State (2-8), which lost its fourth straight game.
