Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Nebraska's Eric Crouch, who has nearly as many yards rushing than passing, was honored Saturday night with the Heisman Trophy, the most prestigious award in college football.
Crouch outpolled fellow quarterbacks Ken Dorsey of Miami, Rex Grossman of Florida and Joey Harrington of Oregon.
Ceremonies were at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square instead of the Downtown Athletic Club, which was damaged in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
