STATEBORO, Ga., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Freshman Kara Braxton recorded her first career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds off the bench Tuesday night as 11th-ranked Georgia remained unbeaten with a 73-54 victory over Georgia Southern.

Braxton made 6-of-12 shots from the field and 6-of-8 from the line while helping Georgia to a 66-44 advantage on the boards.

Christi Thomas pulled down 11 rebounds to go with seven points and three steals and Ebony Felder collected 11 points and seven rebounds in her first collegiate start.

The Lady Bulldogs (6-0) raced to a 16-4 lead 8 ½ minutes into the game. In Sunday's 54-48 triumph over California, Georgia went more than 8 ½ minutes before making its first basket.

Alie Rousseau scored 23 points on 9-of-24 shooting but was the only player in double figures for Georgia Southern (2-4).
