STILLWATER, Okla., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Maurice Baker scored 29 points Saturday as No. 18 Oklahoma State rolled to an 81-58 victory over Austin Peay in the first round of the Las Vegas Tournament.
After defeating Cincinnati in the season opener that ended late Friday night, the Cowboys (2-0) trailed early in the first half but bounced back as Baker scored 11 points, giving Oklahoma State a 36-22 lead at the break.
The senior guard came on in the second half and was 10 of 18 from the field and seven of seven from the line with 10 rebounds.
Ivan McFarlin added 17 points and pulled down 10 boards for the Cowboys, who have won 95 of their last 96 non-conference games at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Nick Stapleton scored 20 points on 7-of-21 shooting for Austin Peay (0-1). Adrian Benning added 14 points.
