NCAA suspends 7-footer

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The NCAA suspended Central Michigan center Chris Kaman two games Friday for participating in unauthorized summer tournaments.

Kaman will miss Central Michigan's season opener on Nov. 18 against Tri-State University and the Nov. 21 game at Dayton.

The 7-foot Kaman made the Mid-American Conference All-Freshman team last season after averaging 9.8 points and 4.8 rebounds.
