NEW YORK, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damon Stoudamire was placed on the injured list Tuesday with tendinitis in his right knee, an ailment that already has sidelined him for two games.
Stoudamire sat out Thursday's 119-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers and Saturday's 105-96 loss at Indiana. He was not in the starting lineup Sunday but played 16 minutes and had two points on 1-of-4 shooting in a 100-98 triumph at Detroit.
Afterwards, Stoudamire said he was ready to play.
"I'm not going to say I'm OK with (coming off the bench), but I'm going to see what happens," he told the Oregonian newspaper. "That's kind of all I can do right now is wait and see what happens. I'm always going to want to play. That hasn't changed."
In Stoudamire's absence, veteran Scottie Pippen--normally a forward--has made four straight starts at point guard.
