Pittsburgh 2, Tampa Bay 1 (OT)

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Billy Tibbetts scored his first goal of the season 1:51 into overtime Saturday night, giving the undermanned Pittsburgh Penguins their second straight win, 2-1 over the struggling Tampa Bay Lightning.

After Lightning defenseman Stan Neckar was unable to clear the puck out of his own zone, Tibbetts took a feed from rookie Kris Beech at the left faceoff dot and whipped a one-timer past goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin for his first career game-winner.

Tibbetts and Beech also teamed up on Pittsburgh's first goal 4:50 into the game. Tibbetts fed Beech beyond the left circle and the former first-round draft pick found Aleksei Morozov in front of the crease. Morozov lifted the puck over the goalie's left shoulder for his first goal of the season.

Despite playing without injured stars Mario Lemieux, Martin Straka and Alexei Kovalev, the Penguins have picked up points in three of their last five games.

Vincent Lecavalier ended his season-long scoring drought, but Tampa Bay suffered its fourth straight loss.
