Kansas St. 42, Iowa St. 3

AMES, Iowa, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Ell Roberson rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another score Saturday as Kansas State rolled to a 42-3 Big 12 Conference victory over Iowa State.

Roberson carried 22 times for 131 yards, including touchdown runs of 10 and five yards. He also threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Ricky Lloyd in the first quarter to open the scoring.

Josh Scobey was even better than Roberson on the ground, gaining 172 yards on 32 carries. The Wildcats racked up 343 net yards rushing.

Scobey had touchdown runs of one and three yards for the Wildcats (3-4, 2-4 Big 12 North), who built a 21-3 lead at halftime en route to their second straight win following a four-game losing streak.

Tony Yelk kicked a 31-yard field goal in the second quarter for Iowa State (5-2, 3-2), which managed just 174 net yards and suffered its second straight loss.

Kansas State beat the Cyclones for the eighth straight time.
