New Jersey 2, Ottawa 1

OTTAWA, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Patrik Elias scored with 10:12 left in the third period Tuesday night as the New Jersey Devils posted a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators in a game that was delayed 80 minutes at the start due to a power outage in the area surrounding the Corel Centre.

With the game tied, 1-1, Elias stood in front of the crease and deflected a shot from Brian Rafalski past goaltender Patrick Lalime for his fifth goal of the season and his second in two games.

It was the first road victory this season for New Jersey, which had dropped its first three games away from home.
