Seattle 100, Golden State 84

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Gary Payton and Rashard Lewis scored 18 points each and Brent Barry added 16 Sunday night as the Seattle SuperSonics posted a 100-84 exhibition victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Payton added 14 assists in 37 minutes and Lewis pulled down 11 rebounds in 36 minutes.

The SuperSonics (3-3) had a 60-56 lead with 6:37 left in the third quarter before going on a 22-9 run over the next nine minutes, putting the game out of reach.

Seattle's Desmond Mason added 10 points.

Adonal Foyle scored 15 points in 24 minutes, rookie forward Troy Murphy added 13 and rookie Jason Richardson 10 for the Warriors (3-2). Danny Fortson pulled down 15 rebounds.
