SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Bob Murphy carded a 6-under-par 66 on Saturday to tie Gary McCord for the lead after the second round of the PGA Senior Tour's SBC Championship.

With McCord struggling to a 1-under 71, Murphy set up a broadcasting tandem in Sunday's final group. Murphy works for NBC and McCord for CBS.

The co-leaders were at 10-under 134, a shot better than Bruce Fleisher, defending champion Doug Tewell and rookie Bob Gilder.

Fleisher is trying to catch Allen Doyle for the Charles Schwab Cup $1 million bonus. Doyle was one of five players at 6-under 138.

Unheralded Jim Barker shot a 65 and is tied for sixth with Larry Nelson at 136. Tour rookie Bobby Wadkins is another stroke back.
