TUCSON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Joey Harrington accounted for six touchdowns Saturday night to lead eighth-ranked Oregon to a 63-28 rout of Arizona in a Pac-10 Conference game.

Harrington completed 15-of-24 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns and ran for three scores as Oregon (5-0, 2-0 Pac-10) defeated Arizona for the seventh time in the past eight meetings.

The 63 points are the most ever allowed by Arizona in a Pac-10 game since the Wildcats joined the conference in 1978.

Oregon opened the scoring with 6:47 remaining in the first quarter on a two-yard pass from Harrington to tight end George Wrighster. The Ducks doubled the lead with 2:57 left in the opening quarter on Harrington's one-yard keeper to complete a 17-yard drive that was set up by cornerback Gary McGraw's recovery of a fumbled punt return by Gary Love.

Jason Johnson hooked up with Brandon Marshall on a 44-yard score to pull Arizona (3-2, 0-2) within 14-7 with 81 seconds left in the first quarter.

Johnson found Anthony Fulcher for an eight-yard TD to even the score 1:17 into the second quarter to tie the score. But the Ducks regained a lead they did not relinquish when Harrington had a two-yard scamper with 11:39 left in the second.

Arizona's Sean Keel barely missed a 50-yard field goal wide right with 8:45 remaining in the second and Oregon capitalized as Harrington found Samie Parker streaking down the left sideline for a 38-yard touchdown, stretching the lead to 28-14 with 6:09 left in the first half.

The Ducks marched 77 yards in 2:36 and pushed the bulge to 35-14 as tight end Justin Peelle slipped behind the Arizona defense for a 17-yard reception with 81 seconds before the break.

Oregon scored on its first possession after the break when Maurice Morris capped a 57-yard drive with a one-yard plunge to make it 42-14.

Wesly Mallard intercepted a pass from Cliff Watkins and returned it to the Arizona 23 and Onterrio Smith had a one-yerd run for a 49-14 advantage.

Harrington scored from two yards out for a 56-14 lead 20 seconds before the end of the third. Smith made it 63-14 with a five-yard TD with 12:57 to go.

Freshman John Rattay, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Tim Rattay, found Malosi Leonard for a 25-yard score with 9:37 remaining and Tremaine Cox ran in from 26 yards with 4:35 to play as Arizona got its final two TDs with both teams playing substitutes.
