Emrise to support IED-jammer production

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., April 15 (UPI) -- Emrise announced it has been awarded an additional contract to support the production of improvised explosive device-jamming systems for the U.S. military.

U.S. company Emrise Corp., an electronic-devices and communications-technologies developer, was awarded a $3 million contract for the continued delivery of its radio-frequency devices used in radio-controlled IED-jamming systems designed to prevent an explosive threat from detonating.

The radio-controlled IED-jamming technology is widely deployed by the U.S. military in combat environments like Iraq and Afghanistan.

Emrise said its Advanced Control Components Inc. subsidiary will be responsible for the production of the radio-frequency devices.
