EB releases new VoIP system

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Finland-based Elektrobit Corp. announced the launch of a new Voice over Internet Protocol system designed to operate in rugged environmental conditions.

EB released its EB Tough VoIP system at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference in the United Arab Emirates. The technology, a voice and data communications solution, is designed to withstand rugged environmental conditions for the demands of the defense market.

Officials said the EB Tough VoIP, expected to be deployed by the Finnish air force, is capable of encrypting data transmissions to ensure security of mission-critical information.

"EB has a long history of creating sophisticated defense solutions that test the limits of technologies, and the EB Tough VoIP system further illustrates the types of advanced solutions we're capable of developing," Marko Koski, EB sales director, said in a statement.
