Mikros to join NGC2P team

PRINCETON, N.J., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- New Jersey-based Mikros Systems Corp. has been selected to join a team supporting the U.S. Navy with next-generation communication technologies.

Northrop Grumman developed the Next Generation Command and Control Processor program for the Navy. The NGC2P is a tactical data link communications processor designed to deliver mission-critical information to military units in the field.

Mikros announced it was selected to join the team supporting the NGC2P. Officials say Mikros will work with U.S. company DRS Technologies to provide production support services for NGC2P.

Company officials say the new contract work will take place at their Largo, Fla., facility for the "initial production runs of the NGC2P system and supporting Field Change Kit equipment," the release said.
