The Army's Project Manager Soldier Weapons organization has contracted Maryland-based AAI for 50 of the company's Projectile Detection and Cueing systems.

Under the approximately $3 million deal, AAI will deliver the PDCue systems with a four-corner configuration for integration with the Army's Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (Crows II) on the M1151 vehicle.

The PDCue four-corner system is a sensor-based technology on four corners of a vehicle providing 360 degrees of threat detection capability to soldiers in combat zones.

"PDCue is the only gunshot detection system being fielded in this configuration," David Phillips, AAI vice president of business development and advanced systems, said in a statement.

"Together, the integrated PDCue and CROWS II system will provide war fighters (with) comprehensive, powerful situational awareness combined with the capability for fast and lethal response."
