XeDAR says its Virginia-based Atlantic Systems subsidiary received the contract from Saab. Under the $576,000 yearly deal, Atlantic Systems will help Saab develop business contracts in the expanding U.S. homeland security market.

"Saab's services and products are recognized around the world as being of the highest quality and the most technically advanced of any company in homeland security business," Alan Swain, Atlantic Systems representative, said in a statement.

"We fully believe Saab's homeland security business in the United States could grow substantially within the next five years."

Officials say any business agreement generated for Saab during the five-year term of the contract, Atlantic Systems will be awarded 3 percent of the deal.
