Defentect, a subsidiary of U.S. defense contractor Splinternet Holdings, says Epsilon Systems will become a value-added reseller for the company. Officials say Epsilon Systems has been selected as a reseller for Defentect's DM3 gamma radiation detection sensor management monitoring technology.

The DM3 is a software technology that manages multiple chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives, or CBRNE, sensors for critical government or civilian infrastructures.

"The accessibility of a range of radioactive materials commonly used in healthcare and industry poses challenges to security. This is a critical safety issue," James Ackerly, Splinternet Holdings chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Our relationship with Epsilon Systems will enable clients to augment their existing security systems by integrating radiological detection technologies and other CBRNE sensors through DM3 software."
