New York-based RRC was contracted to provide operator-level personnel to support the 21st Signal Brigade. Officials say the RRC personnel, as part of the $3.8 million contract, will provide the Army Global Information Grid facilities with operations and maintenance services.

RRC, a subsidiary of U.S. company PAR Technology Corp. (NYSE:PTC), says its operator-level personnel will support five Global Information Grid facilities and two remote sites with "Defense Satellite Communications System and Wideband Global Satellite X-band satellite earth terminals," the release said.

"We appreciate the confidence the Army has in RRC and the entire PAR team by awarding this effort to the company," Steve Lynch, PAR government operations president, said in a statement.
