Despite splits, U.S. still arms Israel
Thursday, July 9
Texas-based B&B Armr was contracted to install its Model 820 shallow mount barrier at a U.S. military base in Iraq.
Officials say the Model 820 anti-terrorist barrier is crash-test certified by the U.S. Department of State with a K12 rating that provides protection from vehicles traveling up to 50 mph with as much as 15,000 pounds.
The installation at an unnamed military base was part of a $250,000 contract with the Army for the prevention of vehicular terrorist attacks, among other threats. "The barriers provide a high level of perimeter protection and can deploy in under one second," the release said.
