New York-based ADSI received an approximately $540,000 contract to install its crew protection technologies on J.C. Bamford's High Mobility Engineer Excavator as part of a heavy construction equipment deal supporting British Ministry of Defense operations.

The HMEE construction vehicle is equipped with a bucket and with backhoe capabilities. Officials say the crew protection kits have passed the U.S. military's rollover protection and falling object protection testing.

"ADSI was instrumental in the design and development of the Crew Protection Kit," Chris Saucedo, JCB North American military products division general manager, said in a statement.

"Their engineering acumen and their proprietary technology have proven invaluable to this project. The HMEE project has proven very successful, and we look forward to a long-lasting partnership with ADSI."
