The 18-month, $317.4 million International Civilian Police contract is from the U.S. State Department. Under the deal, DynCorp will continue work on the Afghanistan Civilian Adviser Support program.

DynCorp, which has been working under the International Civilian Police contract vehicle since 2003, will continue training civilian police advisers in Afghanistan. Officials say as many as 580 civilian police advisers are expected to be trained by DynCorp in support of the Afghanistan National Police and the Ministry of Interior.
