American Defense System officials say the contracts, worth $7.7 million, were from the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. Under the deal, American Defense System will provide its crew protection up-armor kits, along with spare parts, to the Army and Marines before the end of fiscal year 2008.
"We are pleased to announce this latest round of crew protection up-armor kits and spare parts to follow on orders from the U.S. Army and Marine Corps as we look to continue to support the protection of our troops overseas," Anthony Piscitelli, American Defense Systems chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
American Defense Systems is a developer of transparent and opaque armor, security doors, windows and curtain wall systems deployed in the defense and security markets.
