San Francisco-based URS, an engineering, construction and technical services contractor for the U.S. government and several defense agencies, says its EG&G Division will continue its training of Army and Air Force rotary wing students at the Fort Rucker, Ala.-based Rotary Wing Flight Training Services program. Officials say the five-year contract is worth approximately $240 million.

"Since 1989, EG&G instructors have trained more than 20,000 student pilots, most of them entry-level soldiers with little or no flying experience," Randall Wotring, EG&G Division president, said in a statement. "We are very pleased to have been selected by the Army for this important program and look forward to continuing to help train the next generation of military pilots."
