ANDOVER, Mass., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Chickasaw Nation Industries Aviation announced it has subcontracted Massachusetts-based Dynamics Research Corp. to support the B-52 Aircraft Sustainment Group.

DRC is a technology management services and solutions provider for government programs. The company was awarded the $6.4 million contract through the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base under a Tinker Advisory and Assistance Services Contract.

To make complete assessments for the B-52 ACSG and the Air Force infrastructure, DRC will provide engineering, technical and professional support among other task to the Air Force's Air Logistics Center. As the Air Force conducts milestone planning and establishes its goals for development, DRC will also develop recommendations on avionics, weapons integration, communication and other test and evaluation processes.

"As a longstanding provider of engineering and sustainment services to the Air Force on the B-52, DRC is well-positioned to advise and assist the Air Logistics Center alongside CNI Aviation," Robert L. Smith, senior vice president and general manager of the DRC acquisition management and engineering group, said in a statement. "Our dedication to improving the infrastructure and support systems of the longest serving combat aircraft in the Air Force inventory underscores our commitment to making the B-52 the most reliable of aviation systems."

The task order is for a six-month basic performance period with four option years.
