Chinese firm Huawei to add 5,500 jobs in Europe

Sept. 21, 2013 at 1:12 PM   |   Comments

BEIJING, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Chinese information and communications company Huawei said it will add 5,500 new jobs in Europe, while gaining access to the U.S. market was difficult.

"Our expansion progress in Europe is different from that in the United States, where we have encountered difficulties due to some groundless reasons given by the American side," said Patrick Zhang, Huawei president of marketing and solutions.

The China Daily reported Saturday the company is expanding and diversifying its services in Europe.
