Amazon offers 'Send to Kindle' for web

SEATTLE, March 20 (UPI) -- Amazon is releasing Send to Kindle, a new tool for website owners that it says allows them to have users send Web content to its products.

The feature will imbed a Send to Kindle button on content sites that will, when clicked, automatically send the article or page being displayed to the Web visitor's Kindle device or Kindle apps on iOS and Android, CNET reported Wednesday.

The button is already imbedded on the websites of The Washington Post, TIME, and the popular blog Boing Boing, Amazon said in a release.

"The Send to Kindle Button lets you easily send that content to your Kindle to read later, at your convenience," Amazon said.

The feature gives website owners the same capability Amazon has already provided through extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox users and on PCs, Macs, and email.

Website owners wishing to integrate the button can do so at the Amazon developers page, the company said.
