GAINESVILLE, Fla., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Remains found in a remote area of central Florida are likely those of missing University of Florida student Christian Aguilar, authorities say.
Hunters found the remains -- along with shoes, blue jeans and duct tape -- Friday afternoon on the grounds of the Gulf Hammock Hunting Club east of Cedar Key, The Miami Herald reported.

A high school friend of Aguilar, Pedro Bravo, has been charged with first degree murder and kidnapping.
Aguilar was last seen Sept. 20 with Bravo at a home technology store. Bravo told police he beat Aguilar and left him bloody and barely breathing.
