Apple parts list has Mac fans buzzing

CUPERTINO, Calif., June 6 (UPI) -- A parts list circulating in the media is giving rise to conjecture of a big year for new hardware from Apple Inc. this year, Wired magazine reported Wednesday.

A parts list described as a "leaked" list from Apple involving parts headed to Apple outlets in Australia includes references to 27 Apple products. Of those "14 of them look to be new Mac computers," Wired said, citing a separate report from AppleInsider.

Apple is also expected to release new models of MacBook Pros and iMacs, both of which will outfitted with retina displays, Wired said.

Apples annual World Wide Developers Conference is scheduled for June 11-15. It is frequently the venue Apple uses to announce new products.

A leaked parts list from the company with such a devoted following as Apple is the equivalent, in certain circles, of a leak of a Beatles concert tour list back in the days of the Fab Four.

Given Apple's inventory turnover, which occurs "every five days," Wired said, a parts list is not much advanced notice of what's to come.

"They're not going to be sitting in any back store rooms for long," Wired said.
