NEWARK, N.J., April 10 (UPI) -- A New Jersey computer consultant has been charged with using hidden cameras to photograph underage girls in various stages of undress, investigators said.
Ronald Oshrin, 49, of Budd Lake appeared before U.S. Magistrate Patty Shwartz who said more information is needed before she can rule on a defense request that he be placed under house arrest, The (Newark) Star-Ledger reported Tuesday.
The married father is accused of using hidden cameras installed in his home to record nude images of at least seven underage girls.
The complaint signed by the FBI said Oshrin admitted "when pre-pubescent girls were in the bathroom or bedroom" of his home he would monitor them "disrobing, using the shower or using the toilet."
Oshrin is charged with one count of distribution of child pornography. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Portions of Monday's hearing were closed to the public to protect the identities of the victims.
