MOSCOW, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Gazprom officials met with officials at French supermajor Total and Germany's BASF to discuss interactive data processing for international energy companies.

Russian gas giant Gazprom in April outlined a series of measures meant to facilitate data and management processes in the gas business.

Gazprom chief Alexei Miller and other corporate officials held a working meeting with delegates from BASF and Total to discuss the introduction of shared information technology in energy companies.

A release from the Russian energy monopoly said the parties were unanimous in their perception of the need for further interaction in the introduction of IT interaction in large international energy companies.
