COLORADO SPRINGS, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Colorado-based American Energy Resources announced plans to drill and test seven wells in Kansas with the potential to produce millions of barrels of oil.

The company announced plans to drill and test seven wells in the Bessie May development in Graham County, Kan., using high-resolution 3-D seismic surveying.

American Energy Resources described the prospect as "significant" based on seismic data. It said the High Hill prospect in the Bessie May development produced more than 16 million barrels of oil from surrounding wells.

Donald Allen, president of American Energy Resources, said the advancements in technology for his company offer unique opportunities for development.

"Our 3-D seismic mapping technology can help us drill smarter which streamlines our resources and generates better, faster results," he said.
