Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Engineers called off the space station docking of the SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft scheduled for Wednesday morning.

The abort was automatically triggered when the craft's computers picked up on a false value in its navigational data.

"The spacecraft is in excellent shape with no issues, and the crew aboard the space station is safe," NASA wrote in a blog update. "The next rendezvous attempt is targeted for Thursday morning."

The cargo ship is carrying three tons of food, fuel and supplies, including several scientific experiments.

Tomorrow's attempt will be broadcast live on NASA TV, which can be streamed online.
