WASHINGTON, May 6 (UPI) -- The 3,456-pound female great white shark named Mary Lee pinged her trackers Tuesday off the coast of Maryland and Virginia in Chiconteague Bay.
OCEARCH sent out a notice about the shark early in the morning.

Mary Lee is 16 feet long, and was originally tagged off the coast of Cape Cod in 2012. She was named after one of the researchers mothers.
