Animal behaviorists: Dogs have no shame

I knew it was all an act.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Animal behaviorists at Texas A&M University say that when dogs misbehave, they only look guilty, but they really have no shame.

They say that when dog owners yell at their dogs for misbehaving, and they look guilty -- with their lowered heads, turned back ears, and tails between their legs -- it is all an act. The dogs are just reacting to their owners yelling, but do not know what the problem is.

Behaviorists suggest rather than wasting time yelling, that dog owners just "get over it." So when you find that your dog ate your brand new pair of designer shoes, accept that their puppy dog's eyes are all lies and move on with your life.
