Israeli hackers hit Saudi Arabia bank info

JERUSALEM, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- In an ongoing cyberwar between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian hacking groups, Israeli hackers disclosed details of 4,800 Saudi credit cards, authorities said.

The hacker group calling itself Nuclear revealed card numbers, passwords, security codes, code types and expiration dates Wednesday from various accounts held in Saudi Arabia, Haaretz reported.

The group said it retrieved the information by hacking into the database of one of the largest banks in Saudi Arabia.

Pro-Palestinian hackers responded by defacing several India-based Web sites in what they said was a protest against the Israeli occupation.

The latest hacking exchange occurred one day after Israeli hackers targeted the Web sites of both the Saudi Stock Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

They managed to paralyze the Saudi exchange and cause severe slowdown in its Abu Dhabi counterpart, Haaretz reported.
