New theory addresses frozen Earth paradox
MOSCOW, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Russia Sunday announced the launch of a Soyuz-U rocket on a mission to haul supplies to the International Space Station.
The rocket sent a Progress cargo vessel into orbit where it will deliver food and a small weather-research satellite to the ISS.
The cargo will replace the supplies that were lost in August when another unmanned Progress crashed after failing to separate from the rocket, Russia's RIA Novosti news agency said.
The ISS is manned by a three-member crew that includes U.S. astronaut Michael Fossum, cosmonaut Sergei Volkov and Japanese astronaut Satoshi Furikawa. They will return to Earth Nov. 22.
