OTTAWA, March 4 (UPI) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall of some Hawaiian Kettle Style-brand products has been expanded to include "Sweet Maui Onion Rings."
Tim's Cascade Snacks, a U.S. distributor located in Algona, Wash., said the recall was initiated because the onion rings, along with some of the brand's potato chips, might be contaminated with salmonella bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

The products were distributed across Canada and sold as individual bags, components of packs and variety packs.
