WASHINGTON, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The U.S. space agency says it has created a Web page designed to help people better understand the causes and effects of global warming.
NASA says its new "A Warming World" page features articles, videos, data visualizations, space-based imagery and interactive visuals that provide unique perspectives on long-range warming.
"The page includes feature articles that explore the recent arctic winter weather that has gripped the United States, Europe and Asia, and how El Nino and other longer-term ocean-atmosphere phenomena may affect global temperatures this year and in the future," the space agency said. "A new video, 'Piecing Together the Temperature Puzzle,' illustrates how NASA satellites monitor climate change and help scientists better understand how our complex planet works."
The page is available at climate.nasa.gov/warmingworld.
