WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of various brands of dietary supplements sold to promote sexual enhancement.

The FDA said Atlas Operations Inc. of Pompano Beach, Fla., initiated the voluntary recall of the company's brands, all capsules, sold under the names Aspire One, Sex Enhancer, Staminil, Sexual Surge, Love Fuel, Vaxitrol, Love Fuel 2, Erexa, Zenerect, Arousin, 72 Hours, Enhancement, Red Hot Sex, Libiplus, Erexxx, Tacktol, Amour for Him, Erousa, Rockhard, Ezerex, Topviril, Vierect, APL, Clyamax, Rainbow Rocket, Finally on Demand, Xtremexcite, Whatzup and Depth Charge.

The dietary supplements were sold under Lot Numbers 494, 520C, 520B, 520A, 520, 521, 705, 706, 779 and 807.

"These products are currently being sold as a dietary supplement throughout the U.S," the FDA said in a statement. "Atlas Operations Inc. is conducting a voluntary recall after being informed by the Food and Drug Administration that a lab analyses found the products contain Sulfoaildenafil, an analogue of Sildenafil, an FDA-approved drug used as treatment for male erectile dysfunction, making these products an unapproved drug. The active drug ingredient is not listed on the product label."

The FDA said that undeclared ingredient might pose a threat because the interaction of the analogue with some prescription drugs can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.

Consumers can return the recalled products for a refund or call the company for more information at 800-466-4444.
