WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Pelican Bay Ltd. of Dunedin, Fla., says it is recalling its "Caramel Chocolate Truffle Hot Chocolate Mix" because it might contain undeclared tree nuts.

The company said people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the recalled product was distributed nationwide, as well as being shipped to customers in Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan and the Netherlands.

Consumers can contact the company at 800-826-8982 for information on product returns and replacement.
