OTTAWA, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people not to consume Queen Victoria-brand bunched fresh spinach due to possible contamination.

The CFIA said the recalled spinach might be contaminated with salmonella bacteria, which can cause serious and sometimes deadly infections.

The spinach was sold in bunches held together with a twist tie bearing the Queen Victoria logo. A product of the United States, the spinach bunches were sold in Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
